Back To School
Education is essential to every child’s development and, as nze maama Uganda, we are willing to champion this requirement to every child we can reach or rescue.
Our goal is to provide school fees, books, shoes, and bags and offer them as needed throughout the school year.
Through this very special project, we have been able to help Winnie complete her primary-level education and support more than 80 community children with scholastic materials. This organization has been able to keep 29 children from the orphanage in school, and we are so proud of all of you who have helped make that possible.
We look forward to setting up a unique, affordable, and accessible school for everyone in our community. One of our future goals with the Nancy Herman Centers is to set up a library here!
PLE 2024 Exams Results, Thank You!
We are proud to highlight the achievements of five remarkable students—Moses 21 aggregates (Division 2), Ashiraf 23 aggregates (Division 2), Umar 18 aggregates (Division 2), Winnie 26 aggregates (Division 3), and Gladys 28 aggregate (Division 3) — who successfully completed their primary education through the Uganda National Examination Board (UNEB) Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE).
Uganda uses an aggregate grading system for PLE, where students are examined in four subjects: English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies (SST/RE), with each subject graded on a scale from 1 (Distinction) to 9 (Fail). The total aggregate score is the sum of all four subjects, with lower aggregates indicating better performance. The grading scale is as follows: Division 1 (4–12 points, Excellent), Division 2 (13–23 points, Very Good), Division 3 (24–29 points, Good), Division 4 (30–34 points, Fair), and Ungraded (35+ points, Fail).
Their achievements highlight their hard work and the life-changing impact of education. The success of these children reflects the incredible support from supporters like you, whose contributions have helped create lasting change. We are excited to see them continue to excel in Secondary School, which includes four years of lower secondary (pre-high school) followed by two years of upper secondary (high school).
