SKILLING PROJECT
As the world becomes more competitive, we are dedicated to equipping children so they can continue a meaningful life after Nze Maama. We help them to accept responsibility and avoid mistakes by being productive and earning money to create a bright future for them and for their families.
This project will help prepare the children for self-sufficiency and meaningful employment while contributing to the financial sustainability of our organisation. The skilling project will produce handcrafted African-inspired products that include:
- Beads, necklaces, bangle making
- Crafts (shoes, sandals, tie-dye, desks)
- Fashion and design (Tailoring)
- Making liquid soap, bar soap and jelly-making
- Photography/ videography (filming)
- Re-usable sanitary pads
Objectivies
- Equip children with practical vocational skills to enable self-reliance and career readiness.
- Produce African-inspired and personalized items such as sandals, bangles, earrings, necklaces, belts, wallets, and more.
- Generate revenue to support the activities and programs of NZE Maama Children’s Organisation.
- Foster creativity and entrepreneurship among the children and youth we serve.
